Working in 50 developing countries across Africa, Asia and the Americas, Plan aims to reach as many children as possible, particularly those who are excluded or marginalized with high quality programs that deliver long lasting benefits by increasing its income, working in partnership with others and operating effectively. Plan's vision is of a world in which all children realize their full potential in societies that respect people's rights and dignity and aims to achieve lasting improvements in the quality of life of deprived children in developing countries. In Ethiopia Plan’s goal is to provide assist and protection for children affected by emergencies and disasters. It is presently working in Oromia, Amhara, SNNP, Addis Ababa City, Afar and Gambella Regions. PIE is currently implementing a project entitled as “A study on Long-Term Health Consequences of Acute Malnutrition” in Oromia Regional State Jimma Zone four target woredas.
The CMAM Officer is then responsible for implementation of all CMAM related activities at local level using participatory and community based approaches. S/he is also expected to provide technical support and guidance to Wereda experts and other staff working in the area of under 5 nutrition. S/he is also responsible for compiling progress reports and documentation and sharing of best practices and lessons learnt in livelihoods.
