A number of Ducktails’ releases have been removed from streaming services. Matt Mondanile’s most recent album Jersey Devil, released via his own New Images Limited label, is noticeably absent on Spotify and Tidal, as are his full-lengths for Domino (St. Catherine and The Flower Lane). (At time of writing, Jersey Devil is still available on Apple Music.) A source familiar with the situation told Pitchfork that the independent music distribution company The Orchard is responsible for the takedowns. When contacted, the Orchard offered no comment. Real Estate’s albums from when Mondanile was still a member are still on streaming services. Representatives for Domino did not respond to Pitchfork’s requests for comment.

It was first reported earlier this month that Mondanile’s exit from Real Estate was due to his alleged “mistreatment” of women. In the following weeks, multiple women spoke out with accusations of sexual misconduct that took place over several years. Mondanile subsequently issued a statement, acknowledging his “inappropriate behavior.” Last week, Julia Holter (who reportedly dated Mondanile in the past) called him “emotionally abusive.”
