This has been reported before but Toshiba has had to back-track on the choice of Bain in theface of legal objections from jv partner Western Digital.

The Bain geoup contains Hynix, Apple, Kingston, Dell, INCJ, DBJ and some presence from Toshiva itself. It is said to be worth $22 billion.

Because of the presence of Hynix, a competitor to Toshiba in the NAND flash business, a sale to the Bain group will be subject to anti-trust scrutiny.
