How do you pass the time when you're in space? By watching a movie about a catastrophe in space, of course!

According to Scott Kelly, a NASA astronaut aboard the International Space Station (ISS), the crew is watching "Gravity" -- a movie about a group of astronauts struggling to survive aboard the ISS after their space shuttle is destroyed -- on their new HD projector.

In the photo he posted on Twitter late Saturday, a scene in the movie with Sandra Bullock exiting an ISS door is seen right above the actual ISS door.

As pointed out by Reddit users, where the post has hit the front page, it's not entirely unusual for isolated crews to enjoy movies about isolated crews getting into trouble.

According to this Harvard Gazette article, researchers at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole station have an annual tradition of watching John Carpenter's "The Thing," a movie about an alien attacking that very station.
