Guests Wear The Same Dress To Wedding
I'm not sure how I would have reacted if I showed up to a wedding and 5 other people were wearing the same thing!

The special day had finally come and all six women were dressed in the same navy and white lace dresses sold by Portmans and Forever New for Julia Mammone’s wedding.

However, these women weren’t Mammone’s bridesmaids.

They were guests at her wedding, guests who had all coincidentally worn the same exact dress, which the Australian bride said was “friggin’ bloody hilarious” and something that you just can’t make up.

While some immature women may have caused a scene or problem when they found out that others were wearing their dress, these women handled the situation with class and a good laugh.

“At first there were a few dirty looks among the girls in the same dress who didn’t quite know whether to laugh it off or go home and get changed,” Mammone told The Daily Telegraph. “In the end we all cracked up about it. It’s every girl’s worst nightmare, what else can you do?”

The women even posed for a picture together with the bride.

“I turned up and did a double take when I saw my cousin in the same dress and she mouthed ‘oh my god’ back at me from the other side of the reception room,” said Debbie Speranza.

Speranza ended up posting the photo on Forever New’s Facebook page where it ended up going viral with more than 47,000 likes and 1,500 shares.

“You really should start a bridal registry so that your customers can inquire whether anyone else has purchased one of your dresses for the same event no we are NOT the bridesmaids just the guests,” Speranza wrote in her post. “Think I deserve a gift voucher for all this advertisement.”

Some people have said that the dresses were intentionally worn as an advertisement for the companies who sell the dress, but Mammone said that’s not at all the case.

“Some people think it’s a publicity stunt for Portmans,” she told The Daily Telegraph. “I’ve been waiting for this day for three years – why would I pimp my wedding out for them?”

What’s even more hilarious is that the dress is described on Forever New’s website as “perfectly tailored to flatter and accentuate your figure” and will help you “Make an entrance-worthy appearance.”

Well, they were certainly right about that. Apparently, Forever New’s dresses are super popular

“This is why I refused to buy a dress from Forever new,” one Facebook commenter said. “This has happened to me twice with a Forever New dress.”

If wearing the same dress as another woman is something that bothers you, you may want to bring a backup to your next event.
