Cuso International is a development organization that works to reduce poverty and inequality through the efforts of highly skilled volunteers, collaborative partnerships and compassionate donors. In Ethiopia, Cuso International works to contribute for the reduction of maternal and neonatal mortality and morbidity. To this end, Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (RMNCH) Project and Midwives Save Lives (MSL) Project are designed and will be implemented in Beneishagule Gumuz Regional State and in Bale Zone of Oromia Regional State.
Our primary intervention is through the provision of professional international, diaspora and national technical advisors, who work with local partners to deliver development programs. Our technical advisors are highly skilled volunteers, usually mid to late career professionals, who bring strong qualifications, years of post-qualification experience, commitment and new ideas to bear in their role as coaches and mentors. Cuso International volunteers will be based in key partner organizations, such as BSG Regional Health Bureau, Assosa Hospital, Pawi College of Health Science, Pawi Hospital, Madawalabu University, Goba General and Teaching Hospital, Bale Zone Health Offices, Ethiopian Midwives Associations and others.
The post holder will have the key role in providing a range of logistic, administrative and financial support for the effective implementation of the Midwives Save Lives Project, in particular, and RMNCH, in general. This will include managing all administrative, accounting and financial systems of MSL project and ensuring effective administrative support to the program and volunteer professionals. The post holder will also work with Country Office team and other field and HQ based staff to actively contribute to the strategic development of our finance and administrative functions, and effective utilization of resources.
