ABOUT THIS PROJECT
Creating a new typography visual style for Museum Sonobudoyo that feels more strong, classy, and traditional with inspiration from Javanese traditional patterns. In the beginning, the research compared some patterns from the Mataram wood carving pattern, the Majapahit pattern, the Jepara pattern, and the Batik pattern from Pekalongan and Surakarta. We found "ungkup" a leaf-like element from the Javanese pattern that can be applied to our design. This element represents the Javanese style we are trying to apply to our design.
