Food for the Hungry Ethiopia FHE, a non-governmental organization engaged in relief and development activities, would like to invite potential candidates to apply for the following position:
Position: Sponsor/Child Relations Officer
Duty Station: Shebedino Project (Sidama Zone)
Duration of Contract: One year (Renewable) with 45 days probation period
Closing date: 16 November 2017
Basic Responsibilities:
ü Manages organization of the overall data of the children under the sponsorship program;
ü Ensures data for all children in the program are kept with due quality and expected standards;
ü Ensures all correspondences are translated up to the standard;
ü Makes sure that deadlines are met for all correspondences;
ü Closely manages and follows up on the practice of WL data review on daily basis and responds requests timely;
ü Identifies major capacity gaps of sponsor/child relations Correspondent Analyst, social workers and volunteers in dispensing their responsibilities;\
ü Organizes trainings against the identified capacity gaps in collaboration with Sponsor/Child Relations Coordinator at Head Office or Project manager;
ü Assists the Project Manager with recruitment of new children and replacements for drop-outs;
ü Facilitates organization of child histories, photos and introduction letters for new entries and replacements on time and send to head office as per the standard;
ü Keeps record of all registered children’s age and inform for head office before 6 months that they are closer to 18 years (status review);
ü Confirms that maximum effort was in place to retain the child in the program each drop case before is handled in accordance with drop reasons data are maintained for dropped children, with clear drop reason and communicate to the head office;
ü Conduct monthly review meetings with sponsor/child relations Correspondent analyst and social workers so as to discuss accomplishments, problems encountered and seek possible solutions together.
ü Create good working atmosphere with staff and stake hold
ü Maintain good working relationship with staff and partners.
ü Perform any other duties assigned by project manager.
ü Prepares plan of action and budget for the sponsor/child relations purposes in collaboration with the project manager
ü Prepares beneficiary profiles and other success stories and submits to the project manager on time.
ü Responsible for the effective and efficient management of all assets of the organization entrusted to him for work purpose.
ü Ensures that the sponsor/child relations activities are being implemented in accordance with NO requirement, and project annual operational plan.
