Windsong Project Tour: Great Room, Kitchen, Mudroom

It has been over a year in the making and it is finally time to share our #windsongproject tour. I posted our first hint of the project on Instagram when we were in our old office space and there were only 3 designers working with us at the time. A lot has happened since then (like I had a baby and so did our client, ha!)! You can see the video of this project on our

YouTube channel (and please don't forget to subscribe)!

This was a complete gut remodel done with Teik Built Homes. It was stripped down to the studs and we expanded the footprint of the home as well as completely refaced the exterior. One of my favorite things about this project is that although our clients have this wildly successful business, they wanted a warm and livable space.

Our clients requested a Modern Farmhouse meets The Hamptons style and I believe we have achieved just that. Every picture our clients pinned had a lot of black and white with natural wood tones. We set the foundation of the home with that palette and added color through furniture, textiles, and accessories. I could move right in because I love this home so much.

Because there are so many details to show, we've decided to break up the tour. We will be posting this week and next, so please check back for more updates! Many of the things you see are custom and to-the-trade, but the items (and paint colors) we can share are linked at the bottom of each room! All of the cabinetry was designed by our team and created by Christopher Scott Cabinetry. Photos are all by the insanely talented Kate Osborne.

The exterior was brown stucco and red brick before. And now...

This!

Let's start with the great room. Our clients have four kids, so we selected finishes and furniture that look great and function well too. Don't be fooled into thinking that family-friendly means cheap! It's all about selecting things that are made from quality materials that will stand the test of time. I'm trying to nail down what my favorite part of this room is, but I love it all.

Last thing for today - the mudroom area! The brick herringbone floor is something I've been dying to do for quite some time and I'm so glad our client went for it:
