This is getting all to complicated for me, and time consuming. Man, I didn't realize that this would be so difficult. I have 18 different mods in use with as many different juices, a mix of diy, and ready made juices. I had hoped to get the rotation down to about 5 or 6 devices, but that is not going well, as it seems it's going to be about 9 devices. I keep looking at all of them, then I'll see another, and think, well, what about this one. Hopefully I can hold it to 9 devices with the mix of diy and ready made juices.
I'm not ready to quit vaping, just make it simpler. Well, back to it.

You need to employ a "Vape valet".
Or grow more hands. :nun:

Hope you get it sorted.

I went through the same thing, up until maybe about a year ago. I had so many DIY recipes going, that I had probably 14 or 15 mods in rotation, each with its own specific atty, and it’s own specific juice. I even had an index card on my desk, listing every mod, and what juice went in each one.
Eventually, I decided this was insane, and made decisions as to what 4 or 5 juices I absolutely couldn’t live without. It was hard, at first. But I eventually got so that I only have 4 mods that I keep in rotation; but only 2 in use at a time. Everything else is shelved. Much simpler this way.

Everybody needs a hobby.

Yes, and I do have another hobby that has gone ignored to long. I have been wanting to do another model railroad set up, and now I have decided to take that on. Over the last 6-7 years vaping has just taken over, now it's time for it to back off a little. :)

I have been wrestling with this for awhile now because it's getting too complicated for me. I'm just surprised that I can't get it down to less than 9 devices in the rotation.
I went up from 6 or 7 to 9 a couple weeks ago then thinned down from 9 to 8 recently and I agree. I probably need to put a couple back into storage as some haven't been vaped in a few days but who knows if/when I might actually do that as I like having multiples of single, dual and triples so I always have at least one of each fully charged and lots of recipe/flavor options.

Not inadequate as I see it, just more sensible.

Or maybe I'm just lazy. Went to unflavored but didn't mention the eight tanks sitting on my desk for about a year needing to be cleaned out and put away. ;)

Betting the new train setup will have you absentmindedly thinning the herd. Pretty please, pictures of the new train yard when you get it set up. :thumb:

I've been working on the same job for a few months now. I've got down to 6 tanks. 3 KFLs, 2 Lemos and a Nautilus. One KFL has 2 air holes, one has 1 air hole, and the third is a shorty. One Lemo and one Drop. So they are all different, means I can keep a file on the computer showing what juice is in each and don't have to stick labels on them.

With a smaller number it's easier to keep track of wicks and coils as well.

I do have a handful of Pro Tanks ready to go if I want to try some different juice.

I also got a plastic tub under the desk with all the junk in. Stuff like ohm reader, wire, etc. I have a nice looking stand that holds 9 small juice bottles and another stand that holds all the mods and tanks, plus a rack for batteries and a battery charger. That's all I keep on my desk now. Everything else is in plastic tubs under the bed. After years of my desk overflowing with vaping gear. It's a good feeling actually.

It wasn't easy to do though. Hard to put stuff in the boxes, and bits and pieces kept creeping back onto the desk. It takes persistence. It's worth it. Good luck.

I want to see the model train setup! I had one of these suckers as a kid, and it was the best, well, it's similar, anyway.... As was the pricing on all the Thomas the tank Engine stuff the kiddo had to have, LOL. We had a lot of fun with it.

Oplholik... I will be your mod "valet". I can hide some setups where you will never see them.... LOL. Or, maybe you should post pics and put it up to an ECF vote??? Either way, I do hope you post pics of the model trains.

Here are a couple pics of my last endeavor, had to tear it out way before finishing. This one will have a similar look, and be much smaller. Fortunately I kept all my rolling stock, which is N gauge.

I went thru a buying spree when deeming regs were looming. Unfortunately my selection of mods did not hold up. Recently after suffering massive mod failures, I started cleaning out my vape cabinet and cleaning tanks, getting rid of non working mods and giving away some I didn't use anymore. Now I have done better research and purchased 3 that I felt would hold up, then I liked 2 of them so much I bought another 1 of each and of course being matchy matchy I had to buy some new tanks. I am probably finished now at least until the next shiny catches my eye.

I love model trains, but my brother's always put theirs up in boxes and wouldn't let me touch them.

Could see myself headed in that direction. Back when I dabbled in DIY flavors early last year, there was a moment when I thought, ya know, this is an endless consumption of time, effort and money in hopes of finding an ever elusive perfect vape. I knew at that moment where I was headed and changed course. I figured I'd give non-flavored a try. The very essence of vape without the flavors to hide behind. If I couldn't stand that, I likely would never find the perfect flavor. I don't relish non-flavored PG/VG or enjoy it as much as I did smoking but neither am I caught up in a never ending chase, nor will I ever be and I believe (at least for now) it is healthier than smoking. I tossed ... yes, threw away ... every flavor I had except some menthol crystals that I figured would be handy for when I had a cold or sinus issues (which I get every few years or so), not necessarily to vape, and some ethyl maltol as a buffer/sweetener, that I've used once since to take the edge off non-flavored high nic.

Then too there were the mods. I'd tried eLeaf, Aspire, Innokin and others. I was building somewhat of a collection. A mod for every purpose. This one will be good for outside, that one will be perfect on my desk, won't this one be just the best for travel, this one is the one I need for shopping, don't know what I'd do if this one weren't on my nightstand in case I awake in the night and want a vape (never have), etc etc. Then there was a moment when I though, ya know, this is an endless consumption of time, effort and money in hopes of finding an ever elusive perfect mod for every ocassion. I knew at that moment where I was headed and changed course. Besides, I'd found ProVari and realized I could be happy with just that and a Kabuki. I tossed ... yes, threw away ... every mod and coil I had except the ProVari mods and a couple of e-leaf TC60Ws (without the tanks) just because they were the first mods I ever bought and had room in the closet for them.

Recently, this summer I discovered Billet Box was a sweet spot. I now have only 3 mods going a day. All non-flavored, all with 1.8ohm Aspire coils, all set to the same wattage. Both Billet Boxes live on my desk because I tend to chain vape once I get going. I vape one then the other at times. Both are set up the same and vape the same. The third mod is always a ProVari in the kitchen to grab while headed out the door with the dogs or to the store or just cooking and piddling around the kitchen.

Ideally I will narrow the daily mod down to one. Apparently that day isn't today.

Every time I start to think I'm getting too deep into this thing I see a thread here where people are talking about having 32 mods and 46 tanks and drippers and rtas and rdas and rooms full of bottles and bottle and bottles of vape juice and I think....

...hey. I'm ok.

Many thanks! :thumb:

Those are FANTASTIC !!!!
My dad always wanted to get into model trains and he tried to get my brother into it, but it never took off.
I LOVE trains and models of planes, ships etc. but he figured that I was a girl and never thought to share that with me.

I love detailed things, and I could see me going nuts if I got into the hobby.
I do have a nice Playmobile train set, complete with circus, farms, etc. I chose that one for my sons and I because its tracks are compatible with the real model trains. Its simple and geared for young ones, but real enough to be fun.

We never had a real home, so we would set it up in our family or living room, but life always got in the way and never let us really have it set up. One does need a whole room or basement or attic.

Enjoy !!!!
