Subject: A Treasure
Subject: A Treasure
It's a damn shame that companies are allowed to purchase the rights for public domain books and charge for them. Things in the public domain should by law remain in the public domain. It is getting ridiculous how in the past four decades almost every aspect of life has become entirely about making money, and doing so off the backs of other's hard work.

Subject: My happy thought...
When I was a kid my mom gave me one of these books and for some reason it was one of my most treasured items. It was from the 1940s, and appealed to my creative instincts. It was lost long ago, but I found another online. They should be in public domain, but some greedy opportunist managed to copyright them and republish them, asking $13+. I still look for originals. They reflect a time when people were more creative and hard working, instead of buying plastic junk from China we have today.
