President Donald Trump's first wife, Ivana Trump, candidly discussed her ex-husband and their three children in an interview that aired on Monday with Good Morning America.

While promoting her new memoir, “Raising Trump," the 68-year-old mother divulged to ABC News’ Amy Robach that she and the president are on good terms.

Trump said that she also talks to her ex-husband twice a week and even has a direct line to the White House, although she claimed she doesn't use it to avoid issues between the president and his current wife, Melania Trump.

"Melania is there and I don't want to cause any kind of jealousy or anything like that because I'm the first Trump wife. I'm the first lady, ok?" she said.

Trump also said on occasion that's she's even given advice to her ex-husband, though she understands his love for tweeting.

"Sometimes I tell him to just not to speak that much, ok?" Ivana Trump said. "And tweets are the tweets and I think I don't disagree with him because he has so much press against him so if he says something his words are going to be twisted immediately. If he tweets the whole world can really get his mind and he can tell it in his own words."

Ivana Trump said when it comes to her own children's Twitter habits they are justified in following in their father's footsteps and ganging up on certain people on the social platform.

"I think sometimes they call the people losers. If they are losers, they are losers, ok? And I don't mind it," she said.

Trump's book is set to be released Tuesday and documents her journey from growing up in the former Czechoslovakia under Communist rule to marrying the future U.S. president and raising the couple's three children -- Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric Trump -- which she added she takes “full credit” for.
