Floyd Mayweather Just Paid $26M Cash for this Beverly Hills Mansion

Two things are for certain, Floyd “Money” Mayweather loves to make headlines, and it’s been a great year for the boxer. He won the much-hyped “one-of-a-kind superfight” against UFC champ Conor McGregor last month, the estimated $300+ million in winnings from which enabled him to do good (purportedly one of several athletes who promised to donate millions to Hurricane Harvey relief in Houston) and #treatyoself with luxurious new digs.

According to Variety, Mayweather just dropped $26 million in cash — $25.5M for the house, another $500,000 for the furnishings — on a 15,096-square-foot mansion in the heart of Beverly Hills that features six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms (eight full, two half).

The estate is decorated in what can only be described as a high-end, modern take on classic Old Hollywood Glamour — located directly adjacent to the infamous Beverly Hills Hotel — but with the comforts of the digital era, including a full home-screening theater complete with a sleek, Miele-equipped home concessions bar in the guest house for all those fight night replays and reliving “Pretty Boy Floyd” glory days.

The property at 917 N Crescent Drive also features several towering old-growth palm trees and a pool area that could be easily mistaken for Miami’s South Beach, complete with marble-surround hot tub cascading into a lap pool, surrounded by a black-and-marble striped deck area and ample seating around contemporary fire pit features. There’s even a laundry room styled like a locker room that’s bigger than most urban apartments.

Previous owners of the property, billed as a “French Modern Estate” by listing agent Drew Fenton, include the wife of a billionaire businessman and a film producer turned high-end Hollywood Hills property developer.

Say what you want about his flamboyant (often offensive) social media presence, but Mayweather is a savvy real estate investor: this home purchase adds to an already astounding real estate portfolio, even by sporting world standards, including existing residences at the Ritz-Carlton in Los Angeles (a 2,500-square-foot condo), in Miami (a 3,000-square-foot penthouse), and in Las Vegas (four properties, the flagship of which is his primary residence, a 22,000-square-foot mansion about 10 miles south of The Strip).
