NRS 449: CHW Agency Pool Regulations
The CHW agency pool regulation was approved by the board of Health on September 8th and further discussed by Legislative Commission on September 21st. The legislative commission has decided to postpone their decision on CHW agency pools until their next meeting (not yet scheduled).
 
Resource Available: CHW Learning Courses
The CDC Division for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention has created a Community Health Worker web-based learning course that provides six course sessions to educate private and public agencies on the benefits of incorporating Community Health Workers/Promotores into local health workforces.  In addition the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials has developed several Health System Transformation Briefs on Community Health Worker integration into local health systems.  The resources provide information and examples on the use of CHWs and their important role in health care delivery.

Help Others Learn How to Live with A Chronic Condition. Originally developed in Stanford University School of Medicine, Chronic Disease Self Management Program is a 21.5 hour workshop held once a week for six weeks. Workshops are held in locations throughout the community and facilitated by two trained leaders. This live leader training will enable you to facilitate the Chronic Disease Self Management Program and Diabetes Self Management Program and work with diverse groups of participants.
