Revisited Captain's Choice cream

I was lucky enough to win some samples from Scott earlier this year. I had some great shaves and I felt his creams gave me a better outcome than other products I had been using. Alas, the remaining samples were put aside so I could focus on the soaps I had just migrated to after using nothing but creams since my conversion to a DE.

Well, I revisited one of the samples yesterday and I had a fantastic BBS three pass shave. I usually need a fourth pass to get BBS, but I got three in three yesterday.

With the holidays around the corner I'll put a cream or two on my wishlist. If Santa doesn't deliver I'll get them on my own.

Great cream and thanks again to Scott for the samples.

I had a single shave with North cream and ordered a tub of 45th Parallel.

Going by that statement I'm even more convinced I'll love it. Stirling Black Cherry gives me the same sense. It smells good enough to eat lol.

The cream didn't seem to last as long as the soap or at least in my limited experience. The cream was softer of course. I bought the 5oz soap of 45th parallel and enjoy it a lot, seems to last longer and still get a great lather with it.

The creams are very soft in consistency, I would think compared to any soap.

The North sample I have had an issue with the high temperatures in the mail and leaked out of its container a bit and when I opened it I thought I might only have enough for one or two shaves so I tried using very little to get more shaves from it.

I only used a drop maybe the size of my thumb nail and bowl lathered. When I was finished making the lather I had enough for 3 full 3 pass shaves. I should get 4-5 shaves from what was left of that 1/4oz sample. A little seems to go a long way. I hope the full tub performs as well.

Love the soap and found new creams on sale on flea bay for $9.95 shipped so picked up a jar of the lime, should be on my doorstep any day.

The CC Lime is nice. Light and airy. All of Scotts scents are top notch. I really like 45th and on my second tub of it.

Of all the CC scents, I like Sandalwood the most.
