Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to provide essential support to save the children Field offices store and warehouse by performing quality, efficient and proactive recording of the incoming and outgoing of items through providing updated stock information and proper handling, deliver and implementation in accordance with timescales and save the children policies, procedures and guidelines.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Keep record of all stock and commodity movements and transactions; and maintain all stock related data up to date, and available on request,
Keep related dispatch Way Bills and Authorization memos in sequence, and prepare reference indexes, in order to enable quick accessibility to the documents,
Ensure proper warehouse transactions is in place as per SC standard
Ensure all fixed assets passes through the warehouse system are register at the national asset database. This requires close communication with the asset & GIK officer
Maintains proper and updated filing systems including partners’ active files, semi active file and remote file for reference and other general correspondences;
Initiates purchase requisitions for office supplies
Coordinates and organizes trainings and workshops for the department
Organize receipt and dispatch of project items procured in Addis to the respective project sites
Facilitate delivery of documents to the respective partners, government initiations and others as required
Makes arrangements for trainings, meetings, special events, workshops, etc;
Facilitates logistic and administrative support to project units, consultants and visitors;
Assists in other daily administrative routines;
Facilitate payment of different bills – telephone, electricity, water etc
Maintain contract agreements on office facilities, guesthouse and warehouses
Provide Photocopy Service for field office
Arrange refreshment for staffs
Perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
College degree/ Diploma in supplies and warehouse management and or related fields.
At least 2 years of experience for Degree or 3 years of experience for Diploma working in supplies and warehouse management and logistic functions.
Good interpersonal skills,
Proven experience working in a team.
Willingness and ability to work in hardship environment.
