Team Secret eliminated Na’Vi from StarLadder i-League Invitational Season 3 with a 2:0 sweep.

Earlier today Team Secret outplayed Newbee in a very convincing 2:0 sweep. The Europeans had sent the TI7 Runner-Up team home without a single win to their name. Riding in on the momentum and with a renewed vigor, Team Secret approached their rematch against the hometown heroes ready for revenge.

With this win, Team Secret have secured their first TI8 qualifying points as a guaranteed top 4 place waits.

There's no rest for the wicked though. Next stop for on the list for Na'Vi will be PGL Open Bucharest starting in just a few days, October 19th.

Game One:

The first match of the series it was Na'Vi that started out as the aggressors and trying to set the pace. A great start for the Ukrainians started by zoning out Adrian 'Fata' Trinks Puck and making sure that they had followed him around the map to prioritize him. It didn't take too long for Team Secret to figure out Na'Vi's plan and began to not only adapt but anticipate it, turning things on their head easily. When their backs were looking to be against the wall, they dialed in hard and overpowered the hometown favorites to take the first game.

Game Two:

Team Secret seemed to be able to counter the draft coming out from Na'Vi and began to shut them down from the first moments. Na'Vi were able to push really quickly with their lineup, having no trouble taking towers, but Team Secret just didn't give them the space that they needed to do so. Refusing to give up, Na'Vi mustered up all they could throw at them and started to capitalize on a few opportunities, making the seemingly easy game much more complicated for Team Secret to close out even with a 22k gold lead. At the end, Team Secret shut the door on the Ukrainians and sent them packing.

The action continues again tomorrow with the much anticipated playoffs with the first semifinals series between Mineski and compLexity Gaming at 12:00 CEST, followed by the Team Secret vs Team Liquid second semifinals at 15:00 CEST. The winners of these two matches will then battle against each other for the tournament title at 18:00 CEST in a bo5 grand finals format.
