(Logos Format) is digital.

(Paperback) is what Lexham calls it's printed books.

If your pre-pub says (Logos Format) you're getting the digital version. If you ordered on Logos vs Lexham, you're probably getting the digital version. I wish they would use Digital for the digital version.

I dont follow. I would not assume, however, that a "digital" copy of a book purchased from Lexham press (rather than from the Logos website) is a "Logos edition." To the contrary, I would assume that a "digital" copy is a PDF or the like.

In this case I think it is a Logos edition...

e.g. https://www.logos.com/product/144068/the-trinity-and-martin-luther

Format: Logos Digital, Paperback --> no mention of 'Logos edition' in the other Lexham Pre-pubs I saw.

Lexham published products don't have this Format: title.

So the pre-pub is for both digital and paperback, but understanding that the digital copy is what you order on Logos.com

You're asking for less precision.

There are several formats for printed books (e.g. hardcopy vs. paperback) and there are several formats for digital versions - among them

  • Logos Format (=fully functional, tagged version usable in Logos/Logos mobile & web apps),
  • Mobi/AZW/Kindle (usable on Kindle devices and Amazon Reader apps),
  • PDF,
  • ePub,
  • Vyrso/Noet-eBook (=automated conversion of ePub to technical Logos format, usable in Logos)

Lexham may publish books in all of those, thus it is helpful to know which digital format they intend to use.

It seems they now sometimes or often use Logos Digital instead of Logos Format, however this may in fact be only Vyrso/Noet-eBook - noting that both formats don't differ much if the product is a "monograph"-type of book and there are no other resources in the Logos universe to be cited and referenced.
