I am curious why this excellent set of commentaries is not in Logos yet?  I broke down and used some "book bucks" to get a discount at my local Christian bookstore and have decided to restudy and share The Book of Mark making use of this Akin book and others (obviously The Good Book in my ESV and NKJV with Logos Baptist Bronze 7.x open nearby).  The sharing will hopefully take place - so help me God - every month at a local rescue mission.

I did find this later (see above) but hoped everyone might revisit this note and that Logos may see it. Apparently a couple of these volumes were as low as .99 once.  I missed them and I think they were called EXALTING JESUS IN... previously as well in Vyrso.  Did I read if you buy in Vyrso it does not work as you expect in Logos 7.x? Lets hope I misread or misunderstood that note I glossed over.  I am still pleading with Logos to get this series into Logos 7.x though...pretty please less than $8 a volume would be nice...that is what Amazon is doing.

They are Vyrso versions. They work fine in Logos 7, but very basic tagging. I have them in WORDsearch and own 16 volumes as of now; but come Monday I'll own 24 volumes as 8 more will be coming out. Great basic expository series, but useful for sermon preparation.

DAL you blessed lucky sharing soul...thanks.  I will check that out for sure.  WORDsearch work well or pale next to Logos in your opinion?  I like the sermon prep end of things...every little bit counts....and keeping Christ central is vital, right?  I went back to bookstore and traded the commentary for Matt Maher's new album ECHOES.  I am going to get the commentaries in some digital format soon for sure.

Logos is better than WORDsearch hands down, but they offer lots of quality sermon aids that Logos doesn't offer.  I have a good size library in WORDsearch too. All Resources are tagged too and you can still get some good quality content that, believe it or not, sometimes is formatted better than Logos. One example is the Preacher's Outline and Sermon Bible (which by the way is way cheaper than the poor quality overpriced version of Logos). I'm amazed how Logos overprices certain resources and the quality is poor at best (e.g. John Butler's Analytical Bible Expositor).

...I do see your point DAL.  Logos does price hundreds of dollars more in some cases.  Publishers and manufacturers set the terms I guess.  We can only hope and pray they offer the same or better discounts in the future.

I think the publisher is not interested in bringing them to Logos. They bring over some of their stuff into Vyrso, as you found. The good thing for us is that Vyrso price tags very much resemble the ones you'll find at other major ebook retailers.

The 14 from this series that are in Vyrso go for around $8 and sometimes one or the other goes on sale for e.g. $2.99, those I've picked up.

Of course, being Vyrso books they are type:monograph and won't scroll with your bible or appear in the commentary section of guides. And references cited in the text or the footnotes will not be linked to that book, should it be in Logos. Since the series is not aimed at being a scholarly verse-by verse commentary, that shouldn't be too big an issue, though: There aren't that much footnotes and citations anyway. Other than that, they work fine in Logos:

These are available on sale at the wordsearch site but they are not all loading up yet as of today inside their software once puchased. They are however extraordinarily less expensive then other applications. I do not understand why Logos is not able to command the same kind of pricing and discounts.

I guess to be fair to Vyrso their normal price is cheaper and they have offered them as low as $2.99 when offered elsewhere at that price.  I'm hoping other volumes will be added soon as Faithlife don't offer all the volumes released yet.

FL has bitten off more than they can chew. The higher level of tagging they promise is not always delivered and they sacked a whole lot of staff so I do too these days question their higher prices. Instead of offering consistent everyday low prices they seem to use a high-low price model to generate  around 'sales event' where they can 'tell' you of a great deal you are being offered that saves you $x because your getting y% off thus enticing people to spend up big.

Marketing sadly rules everything FL does these days and they are missing the point a lot of long time customers no longer are interested in their tired sales approach and just want to be able to purchase selected resources at great value everyday.
