2017 Halloween Game Events
The video game community finds many ways to celebrate Halloween during the month of October. This constantly updated page collects the events, patches, updates, and DLC to feature spooky new content in 2017.
Fortnite's Fortnitemares
New ghoulish cosmetics including character and weapons skins come to the game.
Slurp juice has also been added to Battle Royale mode allowing players to gain health over time.
The Escapists 2 Wickard Ward
This DLC includes a new abandoned hospital ruled by a mad scientist and his undead guards to escape from.
There are also new Halloween customisations as well as items and craftable recipes.
Black Desert Online
This entire event comes with a blood red moon hanging in the sky and Halloween decorations scattered throughout the world.
Special quests have been added that can be completed daily to earn themed loot boxes, gear, and cookies.
For Honour: Feast of The Other World
Running until November 2, this event will feature a new 4v4 Dominion inspired Endless March mode.
There are also plenty of items to collect including new masks which occupy a brand new customisation slot and all soldiers will appear as skeletons.
Pokemon Go
Halloween will be celebrated this year with a release of the first Pokemon from Gen 3 into the game. The Pokemon will all be Ghost-types including Sableye and Banette.
Spooky Pokemon such as Gastly, Drowzee, and Cubone will appear more frequently and Super Incubators which hatch eggs 1.5 times quicker will be available.
A Halloween hat Pikachu will also be available during the course of the event and players can earn double candy for catching, hatching or walking a buddy.
Final Fantasy XIV All Saints' Wake
Running until November 1 at 7:59 AM PDT players over level 15 will be able to participate in a themed quest which will award them with werewolf attire.
Some items from previous Halloween events will also be available through the alluring peddler.
Rocket League Haunted Hallows
Earn the limited-time currency Candy Corn by competing in online matches. Then use it to purchase special Halloween items, decryptors, and Haunted Hallows Crates.
Be warned, any Candy Corn not used will expire a week after the event, which finishes on Monday, November 6.
Guild Wars 2 The Shadow of the Mad King
The Shadow of the Mad King is back allowing players to return to his labyrinth and take on the endless enemies who live there. Get your Halloween PvP fix with Lunatic Inquisition or find the mad king's lair and take on Oswald Thorn himself.
Platforming fun is also to be had with the Mad King's Clock Tower jumping puzzle challenge and Lion's Arch will be decked out in a Halloween theme where players can participate in festivities.
Additionally, new armor and weapon skins along with other collectibles will be up for grabs for the rest of the year.
Overwatch: Halloween Terror Event and Junkenstein's Revenge
Overwatch has brought back the 2017 Terror event with some additional new skins. You can see them all here!
The Halloween Horde PvE horde mode Junkenstein's Revenge has also returned with a new endless mode allowing players to choose from more characters to see how many rounds they can survive.
Hearthstone: Hallow's End
Hearthstone is offering some free packs and new modes for Hallow's End this year.
Player's who log in between October 24 11:00 AM PDT and October 30 10:00 PM PDT will receive a free Whispers of the Old Gods card pack and an Arena ticket.
Logging in between October 31 12:01 AM PDT and November 10:00 PM PST will get you a free Knights of the Frozen Throne card pack and an Arena ticket.
A dual class arena mode will be playable for the course of the celebration which sees Heroes appear in costume.
Running from October 25 to 28 players can also participate in The Headless Horseman Rides Tavern Brawl.
Heroes of the Storm: Hallow's End
A Hallow's End event quest running from October 17 to November 14 will reward players with themed spray, banner, and portrait.
Hallow's end loot chests and bundles featuring skins, mounts, portraits, and sprays will also be available.
World of Warcraft: Hallow's End
Hallow's End is back from October 18 to November 1 and will see the Innkeepers of Azeroth offering treats and tricks.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Witches Festival
The festival is back with some new collectibles including mounts, pets, polymorphs and more as well as some of the most popular items from last year's event.
Minecraft: Spooktacular
Several events are happening in Minecraft for the annual Spooktacular event.
Lifeboat
Players can find and kill a tiny skeleton in the lobby to earn a cave spider zombie jockey pet and participate in the Haunted House parkour course.
INPVP
Skins, pets, and a themed SkyWars map are all a part of the Halloween celebrations.
Mineplex
Every three-hours will see new quests which can be completed for rewards. Flaming pumpkins will randomly appear for players to smash for prizes and Trick or Treat boxes will reveal special items.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare: Willard Wyler's Halloween Scream
Every week for the month of October a free Halloween Supply Drop will be issued for logging in and a free Halloween cosmetic item can be unlocked every Friday.
A new Boss Battle Zombies mode is available for those with the required DLC packs and the Carnage map will be free to play for everyone.
Gears of War 4: Halloween Playlist
October brings the return of the special Halloween playlist that gives all participants a pumpkin head and Phantom Dodgeball mode.
Smite: Halloween Arena
The Halloween Arena and Scary Potion return along with some new items in a special themed loot chest.
Killing Floor 2: Halloween Horrors
his pack features new achievements, weapons, cosmetic unlockables, and a brand new map.
Paragon: Shadow's Eve
Shadow's Eve celebrations include themed loot chests with special rewards including skins and banners new to this year's event as well as some from previous Halloweens.
There's also a mega bundle for people who'd prefer to purchase these unlockables which has some extra exclusive variants.
