You’re probably familiar with the color-changing Hue lights that screw into your existing lamps and light fixtures, but if you really want to paint your rooms with color, you’ll want to pick up a few Hue Bloom accent lights as well.

These lights used to sell for around $80, and today’s $45 deal on Amazon is the best we’ve ever seen. If you’re already invested in the Hue ecosystem, you should absolutely pick up at least one.

This inexpensive, compact sound bar probably isn’t ideal for your main home theater; it’s only two channels, and doesn’t have a subwoofer, but it would be a massive upgrade for, say, a kitchen or bedroom where you’re still using your TV’s built-in speakers. It’s also wall-mountable, and will even work as a big, loud Bluetooth speaker for your phone.

This 55" 4K Samsung TV typically sells for $700-$800 around the web, but you can pick it up from Amazon right now for an all-time low $624. It’s not the best TV in Samsung’s lineup, but with (limited) HDR support, excellent black levels, and Samsung’s superb smart TV software, it’s a solid choice.

The advent of inexpensive Bluetooth headphones has been a net positive, but there’s no getting around it: They’re a pain in the ass to charge.

You never think you need a dash cam until you get into an accident, or see something really cool through your front windshield, so you really should consider setting one up before you miss something important.

Today on Amazon, you can get Aukey’s well-reviewed 1080p dash cam (with a Sony sensor!) for just $56, or Vantrue’s dual-lens N2 for $110. I recently demoed the N2 Pro (which has a 1080p rear-facing lens, vs. the N2's 720p), and while the rear lens definitely won’t help you in every lighting situation, it could provide some extra context in the event of an accident.

The Nebula Capsule is about the size of a soda can, but can turn any wall into a 100" display while outputting 360 degree audio. Place this down next to you when you’re outside, or throw in your hiking backpack and this cordless, odor-free device claims to ward off flying insects (most notably, mosquitoes) as far as 15 feet away for up to 12 hours.

Most reviewers say it works pretty well, especially on days with little-to-no wind. Note the different colors are different prices, but this $21 gray model (the least expensive color) hasn’t been this cheap since 2016.

I’m not sure if I completely buy into the mood-boosting properties that Himalayan salt lamps are said to have, but at the end of the day, they look pretty cool and if that boosts your mood then more power to you.

When is a pen worth $40? Possibly never, but the GP 1945 makes a really strong case.

This Kickstarter campaign is set to ship out pens starting in November, and the demo unit they sent me is incredibly impressive. My titanium model is very solid and well built (there’s also a lighter aluminum version), to the point that I don’t think I could break it if I tried. The butt cap also doubles as a glass breaker for emergencies, the diamond knurled finger grip works as a small ruler, and you can even blow into the back of the tube to to use it as a survival whistle.

The real star of the show here though is the bolt action method of extending and retracting the tip of the pen. It gives you enough resistance to be satisfying, but not enough to be slow or frustrating, and it makes a very addictive click when the mechanism slides into place. I have no less than four fidget toys in heavy rotationon my desk, but clicking this pen was all I wanted to do today.
