Testing Archipack

Michal Franczak writes:

New Blender 2.79 comes with free Archipack add-on. This plugin greatly automates the process of creating architecture elements and speeds up the modeling process. It generates parametric meshes, which can be editable as long as you want. Archipack also tracks their dependencies, allowing to automatically aligning, scaling and cutting holes. It also shows all dimensions in realtime and allows creating 3d walls from 2d planes.

  1. Will there ever be a way to render (svg) dims in the renderoutput? Have been waiting for this function since about 2005. Measure-It and all the other addons only show dims in viewport without any freestyle svg or cycles or any other render options.

    • I badly want this option too. I need to do technical documentation of the objects created in Blender and right now I need to export everything to Rhino for measurements and documentation.

    • PLEASE SOMEONE, hear this man's request! It's so basic, so useful. This might be the last detail many folks need to keep their design/documentation projects almost entirely within Blender. I know that's the case for 75% of my work...
