purpose:
The purpose of the post is to ensure that all financial transactions of the program area are well captured in the system; all tax related commitments are settled, documented and ready for future reference.
Role & Responsibility:
Prepare cheque after checking all financial documents are reviewed & approved.
Prepare payment voucher, cash receipt, withholding tax voucher for suppliers, purchase order, journal vouchers, and submit the hard copy to be reviewed & approved.
Prepare payrolls & wage for permanent employees and casual laborers respectively and to insert in the computerized organization accounting software.
Keep filling systems in which documents could be readily available, easily traced and ensure that all documents fulfill the appropriate source document.
Conduct surprise cash counts and report to the Program Area Finance Coordinator on regular basis.
Perform quarterly and annual stock movement count and report to the Program Area Finance Coordinator.
Responsible for the timely settlement of all advances and report to the Program Area Finance coordinator if there is any delay;
Perform timely payment of withhold Tax and all payroll deductions.
Engage in partnership document review and liquidation in the absence of Grant and Partnership Officer/when it is necessary.
