Accordingly, our company invites qualified and competent applicants for the Cleaning and Sanitation Services Department Manager vacant positions.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Cleaning and Sanitation Services post holder will be responsible for planning, coordinating and monitoring of the departmental activities and its daily, weekly and monthly reporting to management in order to make timely strategic decisions. Furthermore, the incumbent is responsible for coaching and mentoring of staff under her/his supervision.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Plan and prioritize own work and to be responsible for the planning and coordinating of the work of the cleaning and sanitation team.
· Direct, allocate and supervise cleaning and sanitation staff.
· Train, mentor and coach all Cleaning and Sanitation Services staff.
· Identify day to day problems and solutions, in accordance with set of procedures and guidelines.
· Produce and monitor rotas for Cleaning and Sanitation staff, to ensure that all areas are systematically cleaned and maintained to optimum standard of cleanliness.
· Provide precise and clear instruction of work to be performed on a daily basis to all team members.
· Participate and conduct departmental interview with the recruitment team.
· Perform probationary interviews.
· Responsible for answering routine enquiries on a daily basis relating to the work of the department.
· Ensure harmonious relationships between Cleaners and Clients in accommodation.
· Act on information received from the clients within established procedures and guidelines.
· Ensuring that cleaning and sanitation stock levels are properly maintained.
· Make collaborative decisions with the other department managers in situation on changes to the work rota on day to day delegation of work across the cleaning team.
· Put new approaches or preventative measures in place to avoid re-occurrence of problems that may arise.
· Produce cleaning schedules for cleaners.
· Provide orientation and training for new members of the cleaning team.
· Conduct performance reviews and propose development plans.
· Undertake any other duties commensurate with the job as required.
