A 57-year-old man has been arrested following a suspected hit and run that seriously injured a schoolgirl.
The 11-year-old girl was airlifted to hospital after the incident happened on Thursday at 4pm in Knighton, Powys.
Dyfed-Powys Police said the girl is still in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
A spokeswoman said: "Police are continuing to investigate a road traffic collision which occurred at approximately 4pm on Thursday, September 14 on Ffyrdd Road, Knighton involving a Toyota Rav 4 and a pedestrian.
"A 57-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop after a road traffic collision and currently remains in police custody.
"The vehicle has been seized."
Anyone who saw the incident is asked to call police on 101.
