A radical group that has attacked a tourist bus and rental bicycles used by British visitors in Barcelona has now struck in Majorca.

Members of Arran, an anarchist group, threw confetti and set off smoke bombs at a the Mar de Nudos restaurant in the port of Palma, the capital, in a demonstration against mass tourism, which they say is runing the lives of residents.

The group unfurled a poster, part of which read in read in English: “Tourism Kills Majorca”.

When some diners complained, the management called police but the protesters ran off. No arrests were made.
