Former Arsenal and Manchester City full back Bacary Sagna spoke to Gazzetta dello Sport on the Milan derby amid apparent interest from both Milan clubs in his services: “I will certainly watch the Milan derby, Italian football has always fascinated me, I expect a draw in the derby.”

Speaking on the interest from Inter the Frenchman added, “I’ve heard of the Nerazzurri being interested several times, especially in the summer when I went from Arsenal to City. At that time I wanted a new club in the Premier league hence why I never went.”

“I’m ready [to play in Serie A, I’m following the Serie A so far, there are other great teams like Napoli, Roma and Juve, it is a competitive league. I have had the opportunity to sign up with several clubs in Turkey and England, in addition to interest from Portugal, France and Italy, but I like to compete at the highest level, I know my value,” he continued.

Sagna also spoke on Inter’s Yann Karamoh, “In France he is already famous, he is a very talented player, I would compare him to Dembelé at Barcelona. He will be a big surprise in Serie A, in France we have several young talents and he is one of them.”
