Application of Metabolomics on Toxicology of Drugs Abuse

Abstract: The dependence of drug abused produced is a worldwide social problem in recent years,and caused widespread concern in society.The mechanism on drug dependence formation was conducive to drug abuse population detoxification treatment.Metabolomics has been widely applied to toxicological fields,especially to elucidate the mechanism of action of toxicity.This review focused metabolomics application on the studies of chronic and acute toxicities of drugs of abuse like stimulants,opioids and the recently-distributed designer drugs.
