A new co-working space, CoworKite, has launched in Blouberg near Cape Town, offering workspace, internet and access to investors and mentors to startups.

CoworKite is designed to be a community-driven co-working space, and offers a variety of flexible membership packages.

It is inviting all tech companies, especially those in the post-revenue stage looking for funding, to locate to Blouberg. The space is the brainchild of Croatian seed investment firm 800 Ventures, which will invest amounts of up to ZAR1.5 million in a handful of startups operating from the space.

We wanted to create a small community-driven co-working office where members can get to know each other, and where we can work closely with founders and help them in growing their business. Many investors in the 800 Ventures network are serial entrepreneurs with proven track records of building companies. We’ve done it ourselves and we want to help others to grow their businesses too,” said Matija Rukavina, chief executive officer (CEO) of 800 Ventures.
