The great city of Kiev, Ukraine will host SL i-League Invitational Season 3, the first Dota 2 Minor event.
Expected to be held at the CyberSport Arena in Kiev, October 12-15th, the first Minor will feature 8 of the best teams from around the world. Six teams will earn their place in the regional qualifiers, two teams will be directly invited. All teams will compete for the lion's share of the $300,000 prize pool and hope to gain the first points towards an invite to The International 8.
In accordance with the rules, each of the 6 regions - SEA, CN, EU, CIS, NA and SA will hold their own set of qualifiers. Every team from each region is given a chance and encouraged to compete for a highly coveted spot via open qualifiers. The open qualifiers will be held over a course of two days in a single elimination format with all games being held as best-of-one except the semi finals and grand finals which will be played as best-of-three.

Regional qualifier information has not been provided as of yet including dates, teams or number of teams invited and format. It is expected they will take place very soon after the conclusion of the open qualifiers.

Many teams have not yet been confirmed and reported in each of the regions as no roster lock dates have been revealed. Point system also has not yet been provided. Fans can expect to receive continued updates as the season rolls on.
