Expression and significance of RhoB in clear cell renal cell carcinoma

Abstract: Objective:To investigate the RhoB expression and significance in clear cell renal cell carcinoma(ccRCC).Methods:The expression of RhoB was detected in ccRCC specimens and their corresponding adjacent renal tissue samples using real-time PCR,Western blot and immunohistochemistry respectively.And the expression of RhoB protein level was detected by immunohistochemistry in 60 cases of ccRCC tissues.The relationship of RhoB protein expression with the tumor pathologic parameter was analyzed.Results:The expression of RhoB in mRNA and protein levels was low-expressed in ccRCC surgical specimens compared with adjacent renal tissues.The RhoB protein expression level was significantly associated with the tumor size,pT stage,TNM stage and Fuhrman tumor grade(P<0.05),but not age and gender(P>0.05).Conclusion:The low-expressed of RhoB may play an important role in the carcinogenesis and development of ccRCC.
