A man had his jaw smashed when he was punched, kicked and stamped on in a street attack in Pontypridd .
Police want to hear from anyone with information about the assault, which happened early on Monday.
Officers say the victim met one of the offenders, who called himself Jake, inside the Soul Suite nightclub at around 10.30pm on Sunday, August 6.
After an “altercation” at the Chickenland takeaway, the victim walked up the Graig Hill with his two friends.
At about 1am they were followed by a group of six or seven men, including the man calling himself Jake.
When the victim tried to get into his car on Courthouse Street at about 1.15am he was punched, kicked and stamped on.
During the attack, he broke the right side, and front part, of his jaw. The left side was left dislocated.
He has also had to have four plates inserted into his jaw.
