There’s An Audi R8 Hiding Under This Baja Racer Concept

You might have to try a bit to distinguish it, but this concept that’s supposed to cope with extreme off-roading is based on the Audi R8.

Not the best of candidates, you’ll agree, but then again it’s just a rendering by MoAoun, whom you may remember for rendering a Rolls-Royce Ghost, a Mercedes G-Class and a Tesla Model X.

The rendering barely resembles the actual version of the German supercar, what with its huge ground clearance, upgraded chassis, new suspension, giant tires, additional lights, and some protective elements meant to keep scratches away.

If you’re looking for an Audi-badged SUV with plenty of power, then you should wait for the automaker to roll out the RS Q8, which is going to take on the range-topping versions of the BMW X6 and Mercedes GLE. It will share the same architecture as the upcoming Lamborghini Urus, and might even use its twin-turbo V8 that should come from the Porsche Panamera Turbo.
