LANA Wilcock (nee Tuck) recognised herself as the blonde haired girl in the crowd facing the camera meeting the Princess of Wales -Princess Diana when she came to Poole in 1988.
The Princess of Wales met residents of the town when she launched the Great Ormond Street Wishing Well Appeal at Poole Hospital.
Lana was one of a handful of pupils from Herbert Carter School picked to go and see the princess. She bought her flowers and had her hair specially French plaited for the occasion.
She remembers the princess asking which school she attended and did she like school.
