Abstract: Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of different doses of cefotaxime in the prevention of postoperative infection in perioperative period of radical resection of lung cancer. Methods Totally 92 patients with radical resection of lung cancer from February 2015 to August 2016 were randomly divided into the high dose group and the low dose group,46 cases in each group. The high dose group was treated with 3 g doses of cefotaxime to prevent postoperative infection, while the low dose group was treated with 1. 5 g dose cefotaxime. Results Both of the incidence rates of postoperative infection in the two groups were 6. 52%( P > 0. 05 ) . The incidence rate of adverse reactions in the low dose group was 2. 17%,which was significantly lower than 13. 04% in the high dose group( P < 0. 05 ) . The levels of albumin, hemoglobin and WBC in the two groups were significantly better than those before treatment ( P < 0. 05 ) ,but there was no significant difference between the two groups ( P > 0. 05 ) . Conclusion The use of small dose cefo-taxime in perioperative period of radical resection of lung cancer can effectively prevent postoperative infection and improve the body nutrition,it is safe and worthy of clinical promotion.
