Abstract: Objective To observe the effect of montelukast sodium in the treatment of children with asthma and investigate the effect on IL-5,IFN-γ in induced sputum and lung function. Methods Totally 96 children with asthma in our hospital were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group,48 cases in each group. The control group was given conventional treatment,on this basis, the observation group was given montelukast sodium. Results After treatment, compared with the control group, the level of IL-5 was significantly lower, the level of IFN-γ was significantly higher, and the lung function was significantly better in the observation group ( P < 0. 05 ). Conclusion Montelukast sodium in the treatment of children with asthma can effectively improve the level of inflammatory cytokines and lung function,it is worthy of clinical promotion.
