David A. Goodman, who’s running unopposed, will be the next president of the Writers Guild of America, West.
The WGA West has revealed the list of candidates for the 2017 WGAW Officers and Board of Directors election, and the Family Guy producer will be running unopposed for the position. Goodman will follow Howard Rodman in the role.
Emmy nominee Goodman is joined by the following candidates: for vice president, Marjorie David, and for secretary-treasurer, Aaron Mendelsohn and Carleton Eastlake.
Rodman announced earlier in the summer that he will not seek another term, leaving the position open for Goodman to run unopposed.
Goodman, executive producer of the upcoming Seth MacFarlane comedy The Orville, also served as executive producer of Family Guy. He also has producing credits on American Dad! and Futurama.
There are also eight open seats on the WGA West’s board of directors.
