Job Summary:
The purpose of Livelihood officer position is to plan and implement livelihood interventions in accordance with the project proposal. S/he conducts situation assessment on families’ livelihood actions, pilot testing and documentation of potential practices in the areas of saving and credit, small scale business, entrepreneurship, set-up Cooperatives, restocking, provide capacity building and technical assistance to the beneficiaries, propose necessary materials,
Qualification/Experiences and Skills Requirements
· First Degree in Agricultural Economics, Economics, Plant Science, Animal Science, Development Economics, or other related subjects.
· Three years of working relevant experience in a senior management position; experience in programme/project management in an INGO working environment,
· Good demonstrating ability to interact on professional level with staff, donors or government officials,
· Excellent oral and written communications in English and Afar language are mandatory.
