New App Tracks What’s In Season From Coast to Coast

The Seasonal Food Guide app gives background information on the produce and also recipes.

The Seasonal Food Guide is a convenient new app that tells you what’s in season state by state. It makes it easy to check on Colorado’s blackberries in late summer or discover that, if you’re in Kentucky at this time of year, you are out of luck when it comes to local asparagus. The app gives recipes and background information on the produce. It was created in consultation with scientists by the nonprofit Grace Communications Foundation, which works to educate the public about food sustainability: The Seasonal Food Guide, seasonalfoodguide.org.
