R. Kelly Allegedly Runs A Cult And Brainwashes Young Women

Trending News: R. Kelly's Sex Cult Of 'Babies' Is All Anyone Can Talk About

Long Story Short

R. Kelly is an extremely horrible human being. That's pretty much the short of it.

Long Story

Want to avoid spoiling last night's episode of Game of Thrones? Well here's something violent and graphic to talk about.

R. Kelly runs a sex cult and holds young women against their will. Yep.

The allegations derive from an in-depth report in Buzzfeed News, in which Kelly is accused of holding women as young as 18 against their will and brainwashing them.

The allegations come from parents of women who have moved into one of Kelly's homes -- and the details are shocking, albeit unsurprising considering Kelly's past.

Since this story dropped early on Monday morning, R. Kelly's disgusting behavior has been trending all day, with a bunch of extremely unsurprised people giving hot takes.

Kelly allegedly enforces rules on the women who live, and have sex, with him. Some of the rules include not being allowed to have a cell phone, having to call him 'Daddy' (he calls them 'Baby') and having to wear jogging suits so they can't show off their bodies. He also has a 31-year-old “den mother” provide training for how to pleasure him sexually.

The emotional abuse has also reportedly gone further into physical abuse, with one allegation of Kelly slapping a woman when she spoke too kindly to a male cashier.

If the physical abuse isn't proven, technically Kelly can't be thrown in jail for what he's doing. The women are technically at an age where they can consent to do whatever -- and be with whomever -- they want. They've also been quoted as saying that they don't want to leave. All that said, it's still icky AF and it's downright shocking that the guy is not in prison for pedophilia at this point.

Of course, this isn't the first time we've been collectively disgusted with the guy who sings Ignition. The guy married singer Aaliyah when she was just 15-years-old by forging documents, he was caught on video peeing into an underage girl's mouth and has had plenty more disgusting relationships with young girls. Here's a list of all the accusations to keep in mind if you choose to bump one of Kelly's tracks this summer.

How is the guy not in prison right now?

Drop This Fact

Kelly wrote the album Age Ain’t Nothing But a Number because of his wife Aaliyah, who he married at 15.
