Billions and possibly trillions of dollars foreign aid has poured into those countries for decades and this crisis... domestic corruption and misappropriation which forced "conflicts" fueled by race, cultures and ideologies...could it stop..?
More assistance by subsidies and aid financially probably is not the answer.
UN has yet to prove their effectiveness in that region after 70 years ...
What is lacking..? What is really needed..?
It is obvious that fulfilling "material need" for sustenance is not the only solution.
What is the change that ALL parties must "accept", "allow" and "institute" for "mutual" benefit and survival..?

Wow, you know it's fake AFP/Borg news if they write about Yemen but Saudi Arabia is not mentioned at ALL, being they were the instigator of the war and the cause of the famine. I just wonder if this whole NK stuff is the squirrel effect.
Sad times.

Good point and something that you're not going to hear everyday on the daily news as if it's not really news at all.

The current crises are but a simple and small foretaste of our future catastrophe. We are miss-managing our few millions of displaced and starving peoples. As the atmosphere heats up, weather systems become more erratic, more violent in the extreme, and the ocean levels rise, hundreds of millions will find themselves unable to survive in place. They will have to move. And, the places they will choose are already occupied. Will our response then be the same level of indifference? The resulting chaos will bring conflict on scales never seen before.
Keep in mind that Saudi Arabia is conducting the embargo at the Port of Yemen and preventing food and medicines from easily entering (because they are concerned weapons might transit).
As usual the UN is asking for money and not food.
