Abstract: Objective To explore the risk factors affecting the incidence and prognosis of allergic rhinitis (AR) and provide scientific basis for the prevention of this disease. Methods 190 patients suffering from AR and 190 healthy volunteers were enrolled in this study, and logistic multiple regression was adopted to explore the factors affecting the incidence and prognosis of AR.Results Both univariate and multivariate analyses showed that family history, dust mite allergy, history of smoking, pollen allergy, bedding drying, open air conditioning, room ventilation, pets feeding, food allergy had equivalently close relationship with AR (all P < 0.05).And the total therapeutic effect was 87.3%.Analyses also showed that the prognosis was correlated to the gender of patients (P <0.05),and not to family history, complications, number of allergens, history of allergy, treatment time and pin numbers (all P > 0.05).Conclusions Family history, dust mite allergy, smoking history, pollen allergy, pets feeding, food allergy and so on are risk factors for AR,and air basks in bedding, air conditioning opening and room ventilation are the protective factors. The gender of patient has certain influence on the prognosis of AR.In clinical practice,we need to raise awareness on AR and pertinence measures should be taken for intervention.
