There's a reason these songs have made an impact over the past year. They're damn good! Now's your chance to have a say in the Hard Rock Song of the Year, presented by Apple Music, in the 2017 Loudwire Music Awards. Let's take a look at the nominees:

Many thought it might be a year off for Foo Fighters, but the band surprised their fans with the release of "Run" off their Concrete & Gold album. The song is a solid addition to the band's catalog, starting softer and melodic, but building to an aggressive and forceful finish.

Raise those fists and bang your head, as Fozzy made an impact with their driving rocker "Judas." Chugging guitars, sharp licks and Chris Jericho's ability to go from melodic to heavy help make for an undeniably catchy track.

It's been a steady rise to the spotlight for I Prevail as their rock ballad "Alone" caught fire at radio. The somber, reflective cut has connected with listeners as the band turn their sorrow from a failed relationship into a triumphant embrace.

Speaking of failed relationships, Nothing More go a little more primal in nature reflecting a pairing gone south with their heavier rock anthem "Go to War." Singer Jonny Hawkins gets to explore both the intimate and aggressive sides of his voice in this standout.

Of Mice & Men quickly settled any concerns about their viability minus founding vocalist Austin Carlile by unleashing the new song "Unbreakable" back in April. Aaron Pauley took over all lead vocals, and the group delivered a high energy, chaotic, triumphant gem.

Starset waver between bouncy melody and crushing synthed-out angst with their big hit single "Monster." One of the most played songs at radio in the past year, fans have connected with this reflective look at the aftermath of a shattered relationship.
