Track Of The Day #1051: Johanna Amelie – From Within [PREMIERE]

Not content with bestowing the prettily alluring folk of coming of age tune ‘Lion Babe‘ upon us just a short while ago, Berlin based songwriter Johanna Amelie is spoiling us now with another utterly beguiling minimalistic gem in the shape of ‘From Within‘.

Amelie herself has this to say about the track: “‘From Within’ is about the attempt to experience every moment in life fully. I recorded and produced my song with Moritz Krämer, singer of the Berlin based indie band Die Höchste Eisenbahn. He’s one of my favourite musicians in the city and I’m happy about this collaboration.”

Take a listen, let go and allow yourself be carried away by the dreamy soundscapes served up so handsomely by a musician who obviously has a huge future ahead of her. On this evidence, Johanna Amelie is going to be around for many, many years to come; truly lovely stuff.
