Second woman arrested for food stamp, Medicaid fraud

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- A Tallahassee woman has been arrested, accused of lying about her income in order to receive food stamps and Medicaid.

Trekeyla Williams, 34, was arrested Monday.

Arrest documents say Williams lied on an multiple applications about her hourly pay and the number of hours she worked per week in order to qualify for public assistance.

Police say Williams received a total of $5,612.06 in Medicaid and food stamp benefits that she was not actually eligible for.

Williams was booked into the Leon County Jail and bonded out on Monday.
