Première Vision New York, set for July 18 to 19 at Pier 94, will connect more than 320 weavers, leather producers, accessories companies, design studios and manufacturers to exhibit at the show’s two-day event.
What began as a local show in Paris grew into a sizable European presence and later developed into six global shows: Yarns, Fabrics, Leather, Designs, Accessories and Manufacturing.
Première Vision New York delivers a preview of fall-winter 2018-19 trends, a color range presentation, fashion seminars and a forum. The complimentary seminars include: “Accessories: How to Create an Iconic Product,” presented by Atelier du Sartel; “New Consumer Behaviors and Accessories Trends for Fall-Winter 2018-19″ by Carlin; and “What’s Your Brand’s Digital and Door Index?” by MintModa and Demand Worldwide.
The event also features “Trend Tasting,” which is a seminar exclusive to the New York show that introduces and recaps key global products with an emphasis on color combinations, fabrics, leathers accessories and printed designs for fall-winter 2018-19.
Meanwhile, Première Vision’s ongoing partnership with the CFDA aims to nurture Made in New York garment production and help grow local manufacturing. In light of this initiative, a handful of brands will share their insights on Made in New York manufacturing, a collaboration that enables Première Vision to strengthen its relationships with American designers.
Attendees can anticipate a wide selection of fabrics, accessories, leathers, textile designs and a variety of manufacturing solutions. Première Vision noted that this year’s show features a strong presence of Peruvian manufacturers.
Additional “fashion tools” available at the show include: the color wall, which displays the season’s key colors in a sizable format; its first “Color Guided Tour,” presented by the Première Vision team, and a color card available for purchase that displays a color range of fabrics, a textile color card, a document outlining top trends and a USB that holds the digital color range.
French footwear brand Bensimon will offer a “custom bar” for attendees to personalize sneakers or tote bags with trims from accessories exhibitors Idepa, Artmetal, Ramponi, Manifattura Modenese, Redmark, Achille Valera Lissoni, Conti Wej and Tres Chic Furs. The show will also offer attendees the opportunity to meet Swiss designer Vanessa Schindler, the winner of the 32nd International Fashion and Photography Festival in Hyères, who will be showcasing her women’s wear collection.
