Jackie Hoffman, the scene-stealing star from FX’s Feud: Bette and Joan, stopped by the Hollywood Reporter‘s offices to talk about landing the part of Mamacita, Joan Crawford’s trusty maid, on Ryan Murphy’s anthology series.
“She was written about very little in a book called My Way of Life that Joan [Crawford] wrote,” she explains. “It was a tremendous opportunity and a unique, bizarre relationship — and a great character to play.”
Hoffman is nominated for best supporting actress in a limited series or movie alongside the likes of Judy Davis, Laura Dern and Michelle Pfeiffer. “It’s just crazy!” she says.
