Every time Justin Bieber comes out with a new song, fans see the same headline over and over again. Why? Because no one can let go of Jelena. The end of their relationship was unsettled; if you will. The world is just trying to believe that all of his music is about his lost love with Selena Gomez.

But, news flash, it's probably not. The track JB just dropped today called, "Friends" is about wanting to be friends with an ex. It's about wanting to call that person with no romantic motive involved. It's about genuinely wanting to know about that person's life because there was so much good at one point. Just reading this, I can relate to it and I'm sure you can, too.

So, what does this all mean? It means it's a generic song that Justin put out that will most likely be a hit. YOU GUYS, he collaborated on the song with Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter. It's not like he completely wrote this song himself. Not to mention, he and Selena have been broken up for years and in those said years, Justin has had multiple other girlfriends and flings. Okay, so they may not have been as serious or as public as his relationship with Selena, but that doesn't mean he hasn't had them. Think about it. This song could very well be about Hailey Baldwin. Since their tropical vacation together two years ago, when is the last time you saw them together?

Or, this could even be about Sofia Richie. You haven't seen them hanging out either. But, at one point or another things were really, really good between Sofia and Justin. Things were also really, really good between Justin and Hailey. What makes us think that he hasn't tried to call either of them to just be friends?

We've got ahold of the official lyrics and it's making us think about all of Justin's exes including some of our own!

I was wondering about your mama
Did she get that job what she wanted
Sold that car that gave her problems
I'm just curious about her, honest

Girl, you wonderin' why I've been callin'?
Like I've got ulterior motives
No, we didn't end this so good
But you know we had something so good
So I'm wonderin'

Can we still be friends? (oh)
Can we still be friends? (oh)
Doesn't have to end
And if it ends, can we be friends?
Can we be friends?
Can we be friends?

Wonderin' if you got a body
To hold you tight since I left
Wonderin' if you think about me
Actually, don't answer that

Girl, you wonderin' why I've been callin'?
Like I've got ulterior motives
No, we didn't end this so good
But you know we had something so good
So I'm wonderin'

Can we still be friends? (oh)
Can we still be friends? (oh)
Doesn't have to end
And if it ends, can we be friends?
Can we be friends?
Can we be friends?

Girl, you wonderin' why I've been callin'?
Like I've got ulterior motives
No, we didn't end this so good
But you know we had something so good
So I'm wonderin'

Can we still be friends? (oh)
Can we still be friends? (oh)
Doesn't have to end
And if it ends, can we be friends?
Can we be friends?
Can we be friends?

Of course, we can't say for sure that this ISN'T about Selena. She was a huge part of his life and we have a feeling he's thinking about someone in particular while he belts out these lyrics. But, we can't help but think he could easily have another lucky lady on the brain.

justin

One of the lyrics reads, "Wonderin' if you got a body / To hold you tight since I left." Obviously, if this was about Selena, Justin couldn't really say this with honesty. He knows who is in her life now. He knows she's in a relationship with The Weeknd, so that lyric doesn't really add up with the whole Selena theory.

Regardless, of who this is about, it made Justin even more relatable than he already is. To sing this record and put it out there means he has to believe in the words. And those words totally resonate with us. Even after listening, we just don't know if we'd still be friends with our ex if tried calling over and over…even if his name was Justin Bieber.

Take a listen to "Friends" and hear it for yourself:
