Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Utilities and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae (LS:YSO), which rose 3.05% or 0.0300 points to trade at 1.0150 at the close. Meanwhile, Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) added 1.18% or 0.0040 points to end at 0.3420 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) was up 1.05% or 0.130 points to 12.495 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which fell 2.74% or 0.0069 points to trade at 0.2445 at the close. Novabase SGPS (LS:NBA) declined 0.94% or 0.030 points to end at 3.170 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) was down 0.92% or 0.0080 points to 0.8650.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 23 to 14 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sonae (LS:YSO) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 3.05% or 0.0300 to 1.0150.
Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.51% or 0.25 to $48.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.73% or 0.34 to hit $46.20 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.47% or 5.74 to trade at $1233.24 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.03% to 1.1473, while EUR/GBP rose 0.40% to 0.8788.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 94.95.
