His name is only Suharto. He is a Javanese, and born from a dirt poor rice farmer at that. Many lower class Javanese were and still are having a single name
"Muhammed" is informally affixed in his name after he went to Hajj at his 60s.
I assume many westerners think that "Muhammed" is his first name or something.
Either that or purposely attaching it to make him like stereotype evil Muslim sheikh or something, which is ironic since he was strongly secularist and cracked down on political Islam for most of his reign.
His name is not "Muhammad Suharto", just Suharto, as many Indonesians, he goes by one name and one name only
